adamgaskins

web & software developer

My name is Adam and I'm a 16 year old living in North Carolina. I've been using computers since I was 2, and programming since I was 6.

Programming is my passion. As a homeschooler, I've had the opportunity to devote a lot of my time to refining my practices, and branching out to stay on top of the latest technologies. I have extensive experience with C#, Java, ASP.NET, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and Lua, among many other languages.

I've provided paid services to local businesses for 4+ years including web and software design (see experience for the full list).

In addition to my professional experience, I've taken on many hobby projects in my free time.

Troposphir Project

Atmosphir was a user-generated-content (UGC) game that died due to insufficient funding. The servers were taken down, and the game was unplayable. Recently, I and a team of two other developers have been reengineering the online servers, and the game is now in a very playable state.

Adventure Island Online

Adventure Island Online is a multiplayer, online text-based adventure game. But unlike every other text-based adventure game, Adventure Island doesn't have a fixed storyline. Instead, you and your friends write the story as you explore the infinite world. By defining a series of areas, objects, items and actions, you can create any adventure. The possibilities are literally endless!
